At Whistleblower Law Collaborative, our commitment to fighting fraud and supporting whistleblowers is at the heart of what we do. That’s why we’re proud to once again participate in The Anti-Fraud Coalition (TAF) Annual Conference being held in Washington, D.C., November 5-7, 2025. The annual conference is a premier gathering of legal professionals, government officials, and advocates dedicated to protecting public funds and empowering whistleblowers.
We are honored to sponsor a portion of this year’s conference, along with our friends at Reese Marketos. In addition, two WLC attorneys will take the stage and share their expertise.
On Thursday, November 6, Erica Blachman Hitchings will join a panel discussion on False Claims Act (FCA) Motions Practice. This session will provide practical insights that can make or break whistleblower cases. Ms. Hitchings brings a wealth of experience from both her time at the Department of Justice and her current work representing whistleblowers. Her insights into the strategic considerations and procedural nuances of FCA litigation promise to be invaluable to attendees navigating this complex area of law.
Erica spent nine years at the Department of Justice working FCA cases. At DOJ, she was a member of a litigation team that recovered over $250 million from numerous technology and consulting companies. Erica also handled several healthcare fraud matters, including two cutting-edge Medicare Advantage fraud investigations. Since joining WLC in 2019, Erica has brought her government experience to bear in representing whistleblowers reporting fraud. Among other cases, she is part of team litigating several matters alleging fraud by numerous big banks. One of those cases yielded a $70 million qui tam settlement, the largest reported settlement ever under the Illinois FCA. In addition to sharing in many firm awards, Erica is in the 2026 edition of Best Lawyers in America.®
On Friday, November 7, Partner Bruce C. Judge will moderate a compelling panel on Cybersecurity, a topic of growing importance in the whistleblower and fraud enforcement landscape. Over the past few years, the government has prioritized cybersecurity, particularly in the Defense Industrial Base. Bruce, who was the lead whistleblower lawyer for the whistleblower in a $4.6 million settlement with MORSECORP, Inc., is recognized as a leader in this emerging area of FCA enforcement. Bruce’s leadership and deep understanding of the intersection between technology and accountability will guide a dynamic conversation on the role of whistleblowers in safeguarding government IT infrastructure.
Mr. Judge served as a federal prosecutor for over twenty years before joining Whistleblower Law Collaborative. During his time at the U.S. Department of Justice, he supervised complex criminal investigations involving public corruption, obstruction of justice, money laundering, bank fraud, and racketeering. He brings a wide range of knowledge to the panel discussion of this emerging law enforcement priority. Lawdragon named named Bruce as one of its 500 Leading Global Cyber Lawyers. He was the only whistleblower lawyer to receive this distinction.
TAF Coalition is a public interest, non-profit organization dedicated to defending and empowering whistleblowers who expose fraud on the government and the financial markets. We fully support TAF’s mission to educate and empower whistleblowers and their attorneys to effectively use the federal False Claims Act and state false claims acts with their qui tam provisions, as well as other whistleblower programs.
We look forward to connecting with colleagues, sharing knowledge, and continuing to champion the values that define our practice.
