Firm Announced as a Best Law Firm
To be appointed a Best Law Firm by Best Lawyers®, a firm must have at least one attorney recognized by Best Lawyer®. For 2027, Linda Severin joined Erica Blachman Hitchings and Suzanne Durrell in earning this distinction. The peer review process identifies leaders in the profession.
- Linda Severin joined WLC in 2018. Before joining the firm full-time, she had been a solo practitioner working on False Claims Act matters with Bob Thomas and Suzanne Durrell, most notably on the record-breaking Amgen case. Some of her other whistleblower successes include the $234 million Mallinckrodt settlement and a $13 million settlement with BioTel and LifeWatch. Earlier in her career, Linda was an Assistant U.S. Attorney in the Southern District of New York, was in private practice in Seattle doing white collar defense work, and worked in-house at a Fortune 100 corporation. - Suzanne Durrell is a co-founder of Whistleblower Law Collaborative. Prior to WLC, Suzanne served as an Assistant U.S. Attorney and as Deputy Chief, and then Chief of the Civil Division in the U.S. Attorney’s Office in Boston. While there, she supervised and prosecuted cases within the office’s burgeoning qui tam and False Claims Act practice. One of these cases resulted in a $90 million recovery. In the other, the government intervened and alleged over a billion dollars in false claims. Since joining WLC, Erica has represented clients in numerous successful matters, including the incentive-based compensation case against Study Across the Pond and being on the legal team representing the whistleblower in a $70 million municipal bond fraud settlement.
